We offer weekly classes in drama (acting) or performing arts (incorporating acting, singing, and dance) for students aged 4 to 18 years. We have a specially designed rolling curriculum across all age groups and course types. Each year, our choice of material, genre and focus changes, allowing students to spend three terms exploring and developing a specific set of new skills and experiences, and realise them through performance. Meanwhile, regardless of the material being explored, we simultaneously return to basic strategies and techniques that are common to all live performance work, thereby building on the work of previous years. Our objective is to offer complete and exciting opportunities for those who may be with us for one or two years, whilst also providing life-long learning based on a rich set of contrasting experiences for our long-term students.
New Student Trial Period
At Simply Theatre, instilling a passion and love of theatre is at the heart of the opportunities we provide. It is very important for us that the students that are in our courses, want to be there and love being there! With the exception of specific trial classes in May, we do not offer one-week trial classes. Students need several weeks to understand whether this is an activity they want to keep doing all year long. We therefore set the whole first half term to end October as a trial period for new students. During this time, should a student decide to leave, then any unused fees are refunded. Stage 3 Drama (12-14)
In addition to the skills developed on our Stage 2 drama course, students are introduced to more advanced acting techniques established by established theatre practitioners, applying them to contemporary and classical texts. Students are encouraged to grow their love of theatre and develop in confidence as performers.
The Stage 3 Drama Course is 90 minutes per week

Our Performing Arts courses provide a wonderful opportunity for students wishing to explore the world of musical theatre and to receive all-round coaching, taking their performance skills to a more advanced level, in a fun, energetic and creative environment.
Our PA classes are age specific and focus on age appropriate theatre skills and material.
We offer a 6-week trial for new students to experience classes before committing to the full academy.
