“Fun” is the key word for our Academy ‘Mini Dramas’. By using a game-based structure for training and exploration, we teach both theatre skills and the life skills that arise from working as part of a team.
Our Mini Drama Courses are 60 minutes per week.
Our Mini PA courses are classes in singing and dancing for our smallest performers. It offers early exposure to musical theatre and a chance for young children to express their voices through a fun range of singing exercises as well as to express their bodies rhythmically.
Our Mini PA courses are intended to be taken in conjunction with the mini drama courses. However they can also be taken on their own. The courses last one hour and our mini performing arts students enjoy 30 minutes of dancing and 30 minu
Stage 1 Drama (7-9)
Building on the skills developed in ’Mini-Dramas’, students now begin to explore the role of the voice and body in acting, as well as continuing to use theatre games, exercises, and scenarios to explore drama in order to enhance both their theatrical and social skills. The emphasis on play and fun is maintained, and they are also introduced to a variety of disciplines such as improvisation, movement, devising, text, and characterisation.

Stage 1 Drama (7-9)
Building on the skills developed in ’Mini-Dramas’, students now begin to explore the role of the voice and body in acting, as well as continuing to use theatre games, exercises, and scenarios to explore drama in order to enhance both their theatrical and social skills. The emphasis on play and fun is maintained, and they are also introduced to a variety of disciplines such as improvisation, movement, devising, text, and characterisation.

At stage 2 our students begin to engage in a more detailed way with character and situation. Their imaginations are stretched, and they learn how the voice and body can be used imaginatively and creatively to transform the actor into different characters. Throughout these new experiences, the Academy continues to ensure that work takes place in a secure, fun, respectful and playful environment, sustained by strong ensemble values.
The Stage 2 Drama courses is 90 minutes per week.
Stage 2 Performing Arts (Stage 2 PA) age 10-11
Our Performing Arts courses provide a wonderful opportunity for students wishing to explore the world of musical theatre and to receive all-round coaching, taking their performance skills to a more advanced level, in a fun, energetic and creative environment.
Our PA classes are age specific and focus on age appropriate theatre skills and material.
Stage 3 Drama (12-14)
In addition to the skills developed on our Stage 2 drama course, students are introduced to more advanced acting techniques established by established theatre practitioners, applying them to contemporary and classical texts. Students are encouraged to grow their love of theatre and develop in confidence as performers.
The Stage 3 Drama Course is 90 minutes per week
Stage 3 Performing Arts (Stage 3 PA) age 12-14
Our Performing Arts courses provide a wonderful opportunity for students wishing to explore the world of musical theatre and to receive all-round coaching, taking their performance skills to a more advanced level, in a fun, energetic and creative environment.
Our PA classes are age specific and focus on age appropriate theatre skills and material.
We offer a 6-week trial for new students to experience classes before committing to the full academy.
Stage 4 Drama students are introduced to techniques taught at the major accredited drama schools in the UK. Building on the skills developed within Stage 2 and 3, they learn how to apply the techniques developed by leading theatre practitioners to both contemporary and classical texts.

Young Performers (7-11 years). If you’ve ever wanted to learn how the professionals make their sword fights look convincing, or how to throw a punch without hurting anyone then this course is for you! Students will be taught basic stage combat techniques along with the acting techniques, a story and the tools to perform believably and safely.

Working on scripts, monologues and devised scenes you will hone your acting technique and develop yourself as a performer. Audition tips and advice will be shared, and, if required, assistance in monologue selection can be provided. The week will culminate in a sharing session for family and friends.
